Julia Westhead has 16 years of experience working in various modes of therapy.
My first career was as a primary school teacher, specialising in music, which led me to train as a Music Therapist with Nordoff-Robbins. I quickly discovered that mental health was the area in which I felt most at home and to further my therapeutic practice, I trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), qualifying in 2016.
While practising CBT I discovered that trauma was at the root of many people’s issues. This led me to train in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) and I have been able to help many people using this technique.
I have experience working with adults who have diagnosed or suspected autism and ADHD.
As a committed Christian I welcome people of all faiths and none.
